At Carrfield Primary Academy, we know that children do best when schools and families work together. We value the vital role that parents and carers play in their child’s education, and we are committed to building strong, positive relationships with all our families.
We believe in open, honest communication. From regular newsletters and updates to parent meetings and informal chats on the playground, we aim to keep you well informed and involved in school life. We use the Class Dojo app throughout the school as a quick and friendly way to share messages, celebrate achievements and keep in touch. You can get a connection code for the app from your child’s class teacher.
We encourage parents to support learning at home by:
- Taking time to talk about school and what your child is learning
- Reading regularly together – reading for pleasure makes a big difference
- Encouraging good attendance and punctuality
- Supporting homework routines and helping your child stay organised
Our school day includes opportunities for parents to join in. From class assemblies and workshops to seasonal events and school trips, we love to welcome families into school and celebrate our children’s successes together.
If you ever have a concern or question, we are here to help. Your child’s teacher is your first point of contact, and we are always happy to listen and work with you to find a solution. We want all our children to feel happy and supported, and that includes supporting the adults around them, too.
We also offer opportunities to get more involved in school life, whether through volunteering, joining events, or taking part in parent groups and coffee mornings. Your voice matters, and we welcome your feedback and ideas.
As part of the Astrea Academy Trust, we are committed to working in partnership with families to raise aspirations, remove barriers, and inspire every child to reach their potential. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
